Dr.
Zampitella holds a Fellow in Thanatology (the highest honor of
expertise in death, loss, and bereavement). With over 17 years
experience, Dr. Zampitella's expertise in grief and bereavement has
been used in several publications, international conferences, workshops, interviews on radio shows, television news interview on both NBC and FOX News, newspapers, and consultations with organizations. As an assistant professor at National University,
she teaches in-training graduate level therapists. She also strives to
help therapists identify the unique nature of complicated and
uncomplicated bereavement responses, assessment, and treatment of grief. She
served as the Chair of the Continuing Education Committee for the San
Diego Psychological Association from 2007-2009. Dr. Zampitella is the
developer and lead faculty of National University's Center for
Integrative Health's Post-Graduate Certificate in Bereavement Studies
program.

Dr.
Zampitella's doctoral training was conducted in the first APA (American
Psychological Association) accredited clinical psychology program with
an Integrative emphasis in the United States at San Diego's California
School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University.
She has taught multiple doctoral and Master's degree level courses in
Integrative Psychology and bereveament. She has written several articles
on the use of Integrative Psychology in therapy, conducted seminars and
trainings in Integrative Psychology, and is currently pioneering an
Integral Assessment and Treatment of Bereavement theory. |

Dr. Zampitella's doctoral research focused on the use of nature-based therapy for grief. She has written several articles on the healing properties of nature in therapy and often uses nature as part of counseling. |

- Initial Assessment - $250.00/one and a half hours
- Individual Therapy - $150.00/hour; $225.00/one and a half hours
- Family/Couple's Therapy - $225.00/one and a half hours
- Coaching - $125.00/hour
- LD/ADHD Assessments (Standard) - $1500.00 (includes initial diagnostic interview, 6 hours testing, feedback session and comprehensive report)
- Custom Psychological/Personality Assessment - fee based on required tests used

sliding fee scale is used in the most unusual circumstances. Please
feel free to discuss any financial concerns during your initial
consultation session with Dr. Zampitella.
Insurance Plans Accepted By Dr. Zampitella At
this time, Aetna, Blue Cross, TriCare/Triwest, Blue Shield, Medicare,
Schaller Anderson, CorpHealth, CompCare, California Victims of Crime,
and any PPO Insurance plan that allows for out-of-network mental health
providers are accepted. To ensure coverage, we will be happy to find
out your benefits for you. As a courtesy to our patients, we are happy
to bill your insurance company for reimbursement as you pay in full for
your sessions if you have mental health benefits with any PPO insurance
plan. |
