There are times in everyone’s life when they need a little guidance sorting out and resolving problems to help them feel better and change the way they deal with other people and events. I believe that therapy offers a unique experience where one can feel safe, supported, and accepted to work through his or her thoughts and feelings in order to make positive changes. I believe it is important to collaborate with the client to determine treatment goals and what treatment methods fit best with his or her personality and presenting problem. I tend to be eclectic in my treatment, as I find it is important to provide treatment that is tailored to the individual's unique worldview. The main focus is to work in a way that enhances your strengths and builds the therapeutic relationship.
I have had over 10 years of experience treating a variety of psychological difficulties in therapy. I received my Bachelor's Degree from California State University San Marcos, my Master's Degree from California State University Fullerton, and a second Master's Degree and my Doctorate Degree from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. My clinical experience includes working with adolescence, individuals, couples and group in the treatment of Domestic Violence, Anger Management, and Assertive Communication Skills Training. I have been trained in grief therapy, self-esteem building, personal growth, adjustment and life changes, and the management of anxiety and depression. I also conduct personality, learning disability, and medical screening evaluations.
