Seeking therapy is a courageous and proactive choice to taking charge of
your life and improving your well-being. People choose to attend counseling for
many different reasons. When problems are getting us down, or causing us
distress, having someone to talk to can be significant. I provide a supportive
and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment in which you will be an active
participant in gaining self-awareness and implementing new behaviors that will
lead to positive change. My philosophy is centered around the saying, “If it’s
not broken don’t fix it, if it’s working do more of it, and if it’s not
working, do something different.”
My therapeutic style varies depending on what you want and need; however, I believe the most important factor is the therapeutic relationship. Therefore, I work from a collaborative, empathetic, and solution-focused approach to assist you with exploring and finding solutions for the challenges you are facing. I use research-based therapeutic methods, which often help people start to feel better within a few sessions. I integrate complementary techniques and interventions to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I will help you build on your strengths and attain the personal growth you are committed to accomplishing.
I have over 4 years experience in the mental health field and have worked with a broad spectrum of emotional and behavioral issues. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. My clinical experience includes working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a variety of outpatient and residential settings.
