TREATMENT FOCUSES AND SPECIALIZATIONS

Integrative Psychological and Assessment Services is comprised of two licensed clinical psychologists, one marriage and family therapist, one licensed clinical social worker, and three registered psychological assistants who are able to treat most psychological and psychiatric disorders. Additionally, each therapist has clinical specialities based on extensive training. When you contact us, we will be sure to evaluate who might be the best match for you. |
Treatment Focuses

General Psychological Concerns: These include depression, anxiety, bipolar, adjustment problems, defiance and oppositional behavior, obessive compulsive disorder, interpersonal skill building, and general psychological support. Individual (child, adolescent, and adult), couples, and family therapy are available.

Grief Counseling: To help you come to terms with any kind of loss. Maybe it is a divorce, loss of a friend or relative, or a life transition leading to a sense of shock, sadness, anger, and/or guilt. The focus is to help you to develop coping mechanisms that assist in the management of the bereavement process and adjust to the loss. Bereavement groups are also available.

Assessment & Coaching for ADHD & Learning Disabilities: This full learning disability assessment involves an initial diagnostic interview, testing, report, and a follow-up session for feedback where recommendations are suggested. This can be used to meet the requirements of educational facilities to help you get accommodations for ADHD or learning disabilities. Furthermore, follow-up coaching services are available to help apply the recommendations effectively.

Nature-Based Therapy: Nature can be a vehicle or catalyst to enact emotional changes in well-being. Many different activities, such as walking on the beach or watching a sunset, can be used because there are many healing properties in nature that can help the mind and spirit heal.

Assertiveness/Communication Skills Coaching: Learn techniques to improve assertiveness and communications skills. These skills can be used to improve your relationships and quality of life.

Domestic Violence Treatment: The focus of this speciality is available if you are in need of treatment as a survivor of domestic violence.

Chronic Pain Management: Chronic pain can be debilitating and may lead to depression, anger, anxiety, and a sense of helplessness. Many psychological interventions are available to help manage chronic pain symptoms.

Anger Management: Learn techniques to decrease emotional reactivity and improve assertive communication skills.

Parenting Skills: Learn techniques that will improve a parent's ability to effectively manage children's behaviors, improve interpersonal relationships within the family, find ways to shape behavior in positive ways, and increase effectiveness and efficiency.
